Terms of Service

1What this service is

Waball is a tool. It helps you set up and run amateur sport sessions, build court draws and match-ups, record scores, work out how a cost is split, manage club members and a club ledger, and run tournaments.

• Waball is not the organiser, host or a participant of any session. Sessions are created by users, and venues are booked by users.
• Waball is not a payment institution, does not hold funds, and provides no financial service of any kind.
• Waball does not provide venue booking, equipment hire, insurance or coaching.

2Your account

• You sign in with an e-mail code, or with a LINE, Apple or Google account.
• Give an accurate nickname and profile. Do not impersonate anyone.
• You are responsible for everything that happens under your account. If you think someone else is using it, contact support@wamate.net immediately.
• This service is intended for adults. If you are under 18, use it with the consent and guidance of a parent or guardian.
• You can delete your own account in the app at any time, effective immediately. What is deleted and what is kept is set out at Delete your account and data.

3Sessions and taking part

• The host is responsible for stating the time, venue, capacity, level and how costs will be handled, and for the accuracy of that information.
• Sign-ups, the waitlist and moving up happen automatically according to the session's settings. Cancellation has a deadline, and cancelling after it may still leave you liable for the cost - the host sets the specifics, so check before you join.
• Check-ins, draws, scores and reports are recorded on the spot. Taking what is entered at face value is a deliberate default: among people who know each other, the effort of cheating exceeds the effort of entering it correctly. If something is wrong, raise it in the session or contact an admin.
• Draws and scoring are both optional. Skipping them does not affect anything else.

4About costs: the platform never handles money (important)

This is the most important section of these terms. Please read it in full.

• Waball provides no payment function, has no in-app purchases, and takes no commission or fee.
• Every amount shown in the app - session fees, club dues, passes, tournament income and spending - is a record, not a transaction.
• All money moves between users, in person: in cash or with whatever means you use. Waball does not hold, transfer, guarantee or process it.
• It follows that a dispute about money is a dispute between users. We can supply the session and settlement records for reference, but we take no responsibility for paying, fronting, recovering or compensating anything.
• You are responsible for the payment QR code you upload being correct. Do not upload a code that is not yours.

⚠️ If anything claiming to be Waball asks you to pay into a platform account, it is not us. Stop, and contact support@wamate.net.

5Clubs and tournaments

• Clubs are created and run by users. Whoever creates one becomes its owner and can appoint admins and a treasurer.
• A club ledger is open to every member by default. An admin can narrow that, but the fact that it was narrowed is itself visible to members.
• Collecting, recording and refunding dues and passes is the club's own business. We provide the record-keeping tool and take no part in the money that changes hands.
• Entries, format, prizes, penalties and finances of a tournament are the organiser's responsibility.
• If a club disbands or a tournament is cancelled, sorting out the aftermath (including dues and entry fees) is the club's or organiser's responsibility. We do not intervene, hold funds, or compensate.

6What you may not do

• Post fake sessions or fake venue information, or take money and not run the session.
• Impersonate someone, or upload certificates, verification documents or payment codes that are not yours.
• Harass, threaten or discriminate against others, or post unlawful, violent, sexual or gambling-related content.
• Publish other people's personal information (phone number, address, document numbers) in a session or a club.
• Use automated means to mass-register, scrape data, or interfere with the running of the service.
• Use the service for commercial promotion, recruitment or lead generation unrelated to amateur sport.

If you breach any of the above we may restrict features, take content down, or terminate the account without prior notice.

7Levels, credit score and points

• Your level is calculated from match results and is only a reference for matchmaking and draws. It does not represent any officially recognised standard of play.
• Your credit score reflects attendance and settling up, and is meaningful only inside this service.
• Points are a record inside this service. They are not currency, cannot be exchanged for cash, and cannot be transferred. Any perks they can be redeemed for are offered and honoured by the individual club.
• When you delete your account, level, credit score and points are erased with it, with no compensation.
• We may change how these three are calculated; after a change they are calculated under the new rules.

8Disclaimers, disputes and governing law

• Sport carries a risk of injury. Take part according to your own condition and obtain insurance if appropriate. Waball is not liable for personal injury or loss of property occurring during an activity.
• The service is provided "as is". We try to keep it available but do not guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free.
• Disputes between users about sessions, costs or club matters are for the users to resolve. We can supply the relevant records on request.
• To the fullest extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the amount you paid us directly for using this service - and since the service is free, that amount is zero.

These terms are governed by the laws of Japan, and the Tokyo District Court shall have exclusive jurisdiction as the court of first instance over any dispute arising from them.

We may amend these terms; if we do, the date at the top of this page is updated, and significant changes are also announced in the app. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept it. How we handle personal information is set out in Privacy Policy. Questions: support@wamate.net.
